rude management -Terrible experience – Misleading booking

I had booked a 1-night stay at Gantavya Resort, Pokhara through MakeMyTrip for 2 adults and 1 child (17 years old). The booking clearly mentioned all guest details and was fully paid in advance. However, upon arrival, the manager refused to honor the booking and rudely demanded an extra ₹1000 for the third guest — despite the child being clearly included in the reservation. We spent nearly 2 hours arguing and showing the booking confirmation, but the manager was extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, and aggressive. With no support from the property and no immediate solution from customer service, we were left with no choice but to pay the extra amount to check in. This experience completely ruined the start of our trip and caused unnecessary stress and delay. The resort management clearly exploits travelers and shows no regard for bookings made through trusted platforms. I strongly advise others to avoid this property unless you want to be overcharged and mistreated. Also requesting MakeMyTrip to take serious action and ensure customers are protected from such fraudulent practices in the future.

Firstly, I want to clarify you is that I never rudely demanded an extra for the third guest as it's clearly mentioned in the rules that child below 5 years of age was considered. But your child is 17 years old for which you required an extra bed. The hotel policy is that only 2 people are allowed in a room with a child below 5 years of age considered. 17 years of boy isn't considered child and 3 people won't be able to fit in queen size bed. I clearly mentioned you in our conversation. Secondly I was extremely polite in explaining what I just mentioned above. I even mentioned that if you weren't satisfied that I am willing to cancel the booking for free of charge. But you declined and argued. I never exploited you , nor overcharged or mistreated you in anyway as I clearly explained and clarified you. So I request you not to mislead the situation and post misinformation regarding it. Superb stay

Worst stay of my life. Never book

The stay is like paying to live in hell. There is no water, no room service, old rooms with broken floor, used blankets and towels. Basically no amenities with no refund from make my trip. There is no Lake view. Photos shown are all fake

Construction going on

The basic reason I did not like my hotel stay is because of construction going on the outside room where u step in a pool of dirty water no hot water no bathroom toiletries

Yet to be treated as hotel,under construction,one man industry does not know what hospitality is meant. Location is worthy but rest is just not digestible. Once you paid an in different country it's just accommodating without options.

Poor quality rooms and service

Rooms are very dirty with soiled carpets, unclean sheets and towels. Water leaked from air conditioner and taps in the bathroom. Latches are hard and need excess force. Room smells of old odor.

It seems that some wrong practices are going on in the hotel. There are only 323 persons in the name of staff in the hotel who are insufficient and inefficient as well. There is no trained cook neither the hotel is worried about it. Girls and boys come for a short period to use the rooms. The complimentary breakfast provided in the package was very shabbily and badly served after a lot of requests.

Good place with nice people

The place was nice, the hotel staffs were nice. I think it's a great place at the price paid.
Nice hotel with great ambience. The room was clean and well maintained. Loved the mattress and enjoyed the overall stay at the hotel.

The staff of the hotel is really helpful and friendly. The place is very peaceful and beautiful. However you won't be able to see the lake from the resort due to restaurants just beside the lake. But it is hardly 2 mins walk away. Few amenities were not available which were mentioned but that did not bother much since the staff was helpful enough with everything. They made breakfast early in the morning for us on request, that really counts in great service.

Location is good. Right next to lake.
Hotel location is perfect. Should have more towel and bathing kit. Don't have the buffet breakfast so have to wait for 15 minutes to get the breakfast.
