Good and a very large property. Rooms are spacious with exceptionally beautiful bathrooms. The swimming pool is also worth the mention. Guest laundry facility is a added advantage. There is a small gift shop at the reception. The nearest bus station is Raintree shopping center about 3 minutes walk from the hotel. Only disadvantage is that it takes long time to get to the hotel if you are taking the public bus, which are in general very scarce in Cairns. Optionally you can opt for the hotels bus transfers at a nominal rate.

Big and spacious rooms. Courteous staff. Beautiful hotel. Location was central yet peaceful. Three of us stayed in one room and it would've been spacious enough to fit another person! Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Will definitely recommend!

Got a pool facing room on the ground floor. The location was great. The hotel quite big with lot of rooms, and excellent ambiance. However, as there is no restaurant, the room service food is unavailable. Everything else is awesome. It is 4 km away from the main pier area so having a self-driven car is a good option, unless you have other travel arrangements. Else, find something closer to the pier area which also has markets and restaurant near-by. There is not too many food places close to this hotel which are walk-away. You will need a car for everything. Otherwise, a good budget hotel to get a resort feel. We had a rental car so we enjoyed a lot. Cheers.

Worst experience ever. Do not visit this hotel. We were in Cairns for 2 nights. At the time of checkout, we were about to checkout and house keeping boy knocked out door and I told him strictly to wait for 5 minutes outside and he literally opened the door with his key and I asked him why he did like this. Instead of apologizing he is asking me from which country I am. This is like really highly unprofessional behaviour by Palms Royale and after that there is no strict action taken against house keeping boy. I suggest personally not to book this hotel. Due to this bad experience and also it is very far from the city.
