I recently stayed at Hotel Aavri for 2 nights and would describe my overall experience as average, especially considering the hotel’s reputation and premium pricing.
The check-in process was smooth, but things started going downhill shortly after. Within the first 30 minutes of entering my room, a technician was sent in to fix a telephone issue. He spent around 15 minutes inside, moving around the room without much explanation or progress, which was quite inconvenient and not the best start to a supposedly premium stay. During this time, I also began noticing mosquitoes in the room, which was quite surprising and unacceptable in a hotel of this category.
I requested a room change, and to the staff’s credit, they arranged it promptly, which I appreciated. However, the mosquito issue persisted in the new room as well, pointing to a larger hygiene or pest control concern that needs to be addressed urgently.
The premium suite I was shifted to had an interconnecting door, which, although locked, was a major disturbance throughout the stay. I could clearly hear conversations and noises from the adjacent room, which significantly affected my comfort and sleep quality.
Another major letdown was the restaurant and dining experience. My package included breakfast and lunch, but the buffet food was often not hot, and no staff seemed attentive enough to check or maintain food quality. The service felt unorganized and lacked the attention you would expect at a high-end property.
In summary, while the staff was polite and responsive at times, the overall experience did not meet expectations. Basic issues like cleanliness, noise insulation, pest control, and food service need immediate improvement. I hope the management takes feedback seriously, as the property has potential but currently falls short in delivering a quality guest experience.
