The hotel is very nice,centrally located at Dam Square and well connected by Public transport.All the tourist attractions are nearby and excellent food choices all around. Great place to stay,staff is also very well behaved and cooperative.

This is my favorite hotel in amsterdam where i have stayed more than 5 times in the past. Each time this hotel has exceeded my expectations with very warm and efficient staff who run the hotel with swissclock efficiency and makes you feel so welcome that you keep coming back !great location, warm and courteous staff, sumptuous breakfast - the best place to stay in amsterdam, undoubtedly

ya. hotel was good. I checked in at around 9 pm. During checking in I was asked to diposit Euro 50 and I was told it will be refund during check out. I enquired in the front desk about mini bar and the gentalman and a boy next to him told me its complintery. So next morning after s/s checked out at around 1 or 2pm. I asked about refund of my deposit 50 euro. the lady in the front desk say after deduction of taxes remaining amount shall be refund. I have waited almost one and half month but no such refund made so far from the hotel. however, I am still waiting, hope after this reviews I might get my refund. well this small things sometime miss out but the hotel management should take care of this...over all hotel was in good location, stay was quit comfy, planning to visit amstradam only next August and will definitely stay here provided I get my remaining euro from the concerned management who looks after refund...

If you want location, location and location then this is the hotel for you. Not very spacious but still good enough but right in the Dam Square. Tram seems to run privately for the hotel almost walking from the Amsterdam Centraal station too. Obviously close to the De Wallen hot spots and some other bars around the area. You can start your river cruise opposite the hotel. Bit expensive but then Amsterdam isn't cheap and location will save your precious time specially if you like going back to hotel for change of clothes or to put your heavy shopping bags in the room. Backpackers please stay away as it is hurtfully expensive. Highly recommended for family travellers.

The title sums it all up. Amazing location, right on dam square. The service was top notch. The staff was very helpful. And most importantly, the rooms were very comfy. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Excellent location on dam square. Helpful staff. Close to night life and shopping malls.

Lovely location. Excellent and courteous staff. Strict no drugs no smoking policies. Courtesy welcome drink and cold towels provided. Breakfast is good bit expensive at 17. 5 euros plus taxes. Very close to the nightlife clubs and red light district. Lot of eying joints and shopping centres around. Overall excellent and value for money. Thanks MMT.

The best thing about the hotel is the location. It's just at the Dam Square!! Yes, the rooms need refurbishment, but honestly, you come to the room in a pace like Amsterdam to sleep. There are zillions of eating places around, but try their breakfast, the spread is quite good!

It was an amazing stay loved the location and hotel.. Staff was friendly.. We stayed here for 3 days and we had a superb time.. You need to have a good hotel and it was the right choice to stay here because of the location and hotel facilities..

We feel completely cheated when we think about Swissotel in retrospect. We paid about 177 Euros a night for a basic king size room and yet we got an unclean room, someone's fruit was kept in the fridge. My wife has dust allergies and was very uncomfortable. The attached pictures will indicate the amount of dust in the room. When we asked for being moved or having the dust cleaned, neither happened. They claimed that the hotel is booked fully and rooms are not available. Attached is proof that rooms are still available on their website and at a much lower rate than what we paid. Will not trust you Swissotel for any future travel. Unfortunately, we still have to spend two more nights at your hotel.

Can't have better location to be in Amsterdam. All the action is just steps away. Staff at reception is one of the best I found in Europe. Indian restaurants and lots of cafes all around. Tram is just on the door. Central station is walking distance. Rooms are very modern and chic.
